How to choose Keywords

If you are doing any type of internet marketing then you have to know what keywords are. Keywords are the words people type into a search engine when they are searching for something. Lets say you are ready to buy a new car and what to find out which car has the highest safety ratings. You go to your favorite search engine and type in the words "vehicle safety ratings". Those are your keywords. Pretty straight forward huh? Ok now that you know what keywords are here are some tips on how to rank high for certain ones that will help you make money online.

 If you are selling a product that has to deal with heartburn. This could be some e-book that gives a variety of ways to get rid of heartburn or stop it from starting. Now if your new to internet marketing your probably going to try and target the keyword "heartburn". It is all fine and good cause you can always have more than one keyword, but it would be best to target a something more specific like "heartburn home remedies" or "heartburn relief". These words will be easy to rank high for,and the higher you rank the more money you will make and the faster you will make it as well.

 Also using words like "relief" and "remedy"  and "review" are what is called "buying" keywords and these will always be your money makers. Think about it for a second. If you have heartburn or back pain you already know what it is and only want to find out how to stop it right? Thats the same with the word review. For instance lets say you love the new Iron Man 2 movie thats now for sale. You write a review about it and then have a link to buy it from amazon at the bottom of your review chances are people will click on your link to buy the movie.

Keywords are all about targeting. If you have puppies for sale will your ad say "puppies for sale" or "mastiff puppies for sale"? This will help you out a lot if you want to make money online.

The Basics Of Blogging

  If you are an internet marketer then 9 times out of 10 you have some kind of blog. Blogs have become extremely  popular within the last two years due to the fact that they are very easy to create and maintain. Anyone can run a blog and the great thing is you can write about anything you want. The are a number of different ways to make money with your blogs as well, but we will get into that later.

One problem with blogs is that there are millions on them online now, meaning your going to have lots of other blogs to rank against. Lets say you create a post about some new product that you think is th coolest thing. After you write your review and search of it online, its nowhere to be found! Thats could be for several different reasons.

 Blogs that are very popular usually have a very high alexa ranking. Alexa is a website that keeps count of how many people visit websites. You should go check it out by clicking here. Another thing that popular blogs have is backlinks. Backlinks are just links to different websites and the more backlinks you have the more attention your blog will get from search engines. Many blogs have tens of thousands of backlinks.


Another thing that will increase your blog's chances of being ranked high is social marketing. Many people online have a facebook and myspace page, or a twitter account or some other sort of web 2.0 site. You can link all of these together with a site called ping.fm You can check that site out here. This website can help you out alot. All you have to do is join the sites it links to and ping your blog every time you create a new post.
